Delete your account

How to have your Insiraf account deleted, what is removed, and what stays with your child's school.

Email your deletion request

This opens your email app with the request already written. If it does not open, send the same details to [email protected].

What this page is for

Use this page to ask for your Insiraf account to be deleted. The request goes to شركة انصراف سريع, the company that operates Insiraf, and is completed within 30 days of the day we receive it.

Send it from the phone number or mailbox you use to sign in, and include the details below. We will not act on a request we cannot tie to a specific account: deleting the wrong family's access is a worse outcome than a slow deletion.

What to include

  • The mobile number you sign in with, including the country code. This is how an account is identified — without it we usually cannot find it at all.
  • Your full name, as the school holds it.
  • The name of the school your child attends.
  • A sentence saying you want the account deleted.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in
The account itself and its access to the Insiraf app. You will no longer be able to sign in, and the account stops receiving school notices.
The contact details held to run the account
The name and mobile number held so that the account can exist and receive a one-time sign-in code.
Device and notification data
The push-notification tokens registered to your devices, so nothing further is delivered to them.
Location recorded with a dismissal request
If you used the app to request your child's dismissal, the coordinates recorded with that request are part of the school's dismissal record, and they are deleted 90 days after the request. What remains is the distance they were measured at, not a position. See the section below — that record belongs to the school.

What stays with the school

Your child's school records stay with the school. That includes enrolment, class and stage, attendance, and dismissal and handover events — the record of when a child was released and to whom.

This is not a limit chosen for convenience. For those records the school is the data controller and we are a processor acting on its instructions. They are the school's safeguarding record, and a school is required to keep them. Deleting your account ends your access; it does not erase the school's record of your child.

If you want the underlying school record erased, ask the school — it decides, as controller, and we act on its instruction. Write to us as well and we will route the request to the right school and follow it up.

How long it takes

Within 30 days of receiving the request. In practice it is usually much sooner. The 30 days is an outer limit, and it exists because some requests have to go to the school before anything can be removed.

We reply to confirm when it is done. If we cannot identify the account from what you sent, we will write back and ask; the 30 days then runs from the day we can identify it.

If you are a member of staff

A staff account belongs to the school that issued it, not to us. Ask your school to remove it. If the school cannot be reached, write to us and we will establish who controls the account before anything is deleted.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you may ask to be told what personal data is held about you, to obtain a copy of it, to have it corrected, and in defined circumstances to have it destroyed. You may also withdraw a consent you previously gave.

For anything held on behalf of a school — a student record, an attendance or dismissal event, a guardian relationship — the school is the controller and decides. Send those requests to the school; we will support the school in answering them. For data we hold in our own right, such as an enquiry you emailed us, write to us directly and we will respond.
